Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using TypeThrive. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TypeThrive ("the Service") at typethrive.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TypeThrive. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use TypeThrive. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
2. Account Registration
To access certain features of TypeThrive, you must create an account. When creating your account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Not create multiple accounts for abusive purposes
TypeThrive reserves the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
TypeThrive offers free and paid tiers. Paid features require a subscription or one-time purchase processed via Stripe.
Subscription Plans
Monthly and annual subscription plans automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Course Purchases
Course purchases are one-time payments that grant access to the purchased course for the access period stated on that course’s page at the time of purchase (for example, a set number of weeks) — not lifetime access. Course access is granted to your account and may not be transferred. The Digital Citizenship course is also included with an active Career Builder subscription.
Refund Policy
All sales are final. TypeThrive does not offer refunds on subscriptions or course purchases, including prorated refunds of any kind. If you cancel or close your TypeThrive subscription during a billing cycle, the cancellation takes effect at what would have been your next billing date — you keep full access to all subscription benefits through the end of your current paid billing cycle, and you will not be billed again after that. Course purchases are non-refundable and provide access only for the period shown at the time of purchase. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@typethrive.com and we will review your account.
Price Changes
TypeThrive reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price changes take effect.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use TypeThrive to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Engage in cheating, using bots, or artificially inflating leaderboard scores
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute our course content or software
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Share your account credentials with others or resell access
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without prior written consent
Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on TypeThrive — including course materials, typing exercises, certifications, UI designs, logos, and written content — is the exclusive property of TypeThrive and protected by copyright law.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not permit you to copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content.
TypeThrive certificates issued to users are valid credentials but remain the intellectual property of TypeThrive. You may display your certificate to verify your skills but may not modify or misrepresent it.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
TypeThrive is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
- Results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable
- Any errors in the Service will be corrected
TypeThrive does not guarantee employment outcomes or specific typing speed improvements as a result of using our platform. Results vary based on individual effort and practice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TypeThrive shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to TypeThrive in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
