Code Runner
Run the neon tunnel. Type the code on each barrier to leap it before you crash.
- - Type the code token on each barrier to leap it before you run into it.
- - Chain clean leaps to raise your combo; the run speeds up over distance.
- - Hit an uncleared barrier and the run ends — distance is your score.
- - Gold tokens grant a shield that saves you from one crash.
- - Click the screen or the pause button any time to pause.
Why symbols are the real bottleneck
Almost all typing practice is prose: lowercase letters and the occasional comma. Code is not prose. It is brackets, semicolons, underscores, arrows, quotes and the number row, reached mostly with the weakest fingers and almost never drilled deliberately. That is why a developer who types ninety words a minute of plain English can drop to half that inside an editor.
Code Runner aims at that gap. Distance is your score rather than a one-off burst of speed, so the run rewards holding clean form while the tunnel accelerates and the margin for error shrinks.
Getting further down the tunnel
- Start in Junior. Move to Senior once short keywords feel automatic, because Senior adds longer tokens, operators and symbols at a faster pace.
- Keep your hands home. The instinct with an unfamiliar symbol is to glance down, and that glance is what caps you long term.
- Protect the combo. A chain of clean leaps is worth more than any single fast one.
- A gold token buys you one crash. Treat it as insurance, not as licence to gamble on the next barrier.
If you are hunting for brackets and quotes by sight, this game will show you the problem but not fix it. Typing for Programmers drills the symbol reaches directly, and Code Runner is where that work gets tested under pressure.
